Answers to common questions, plus the legal information required for syntar.ch.
Syntar is a Swiss AI assistant. From one place you can chat with live web answers, generate and edit images, create short videos, read and translate documents, and use voice. A Syntar Messenger product is also in the works.
There’s a free plan with daily limits, and paid plans — Pro and Max — with a monthly credit allowance for images, video and more. Chat is generous on paid plans. Prices are shown in your local currency, VAT included, and you can pay monthly or annually (annual gives one month free). See the pricing page for current rates.
Chat with live web answers, generate and edit images, create short videos, read and translate documents, understand images and video, and voice input/output — all from one conversation.
Payments are handled securely by Stripe. You can pay by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), with TWINT in Switzerland, and via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Prices are shown in your local currency, VAT included, and you can choose monthly or annual billing.
It’s in progress. The plan is to pair your phone with the browser by scanning a code, similar to other messaging apps. There’s no fixed date yet.
Your account details, subscription status, and the content you send the assistant. The AI runs on Syntar’s own infrastructure in the EU/Switzerland region — your prompts are not sent to any third-party AI provider, and we do not use your conversations to train models by default. See Privacy below.
You can cancel a paid plan anytime — it stays active until the end of the paid period, then stops renewing (no pro-rated refund). To delete your account and data, contact info@syntar.ch.
Crocus Saffron SA (“Syntar”, “we”) is the data controller for the Syntar service. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.
Account details you provide (name, email), your subscription and payment status, and the content you send to the AI assistant (messages, and any images, documents or audio you upload).
To operate the service — answering your questions, generating images and video, transcribing and reading files, and managing your account and subscription.
The AI models run on Syntar’s own self-hosted infrastructure within the EU/Switzerland region. Your prompts are not sent to any third-party AI provider. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we never store your full card details.
We do not use your conversations to train or improve our models by default. If we ever offer this, it will be strictly opt-in: any such data is anonymized, used only to improve Syntar, deleted after processing, never sold, and kept within Switzerland. You can opt out or request deletion at any time. We never use data from users under 18 to train models, even with consent.
You can delete your conversations at any time, and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting info@syntar.ch. Under the revFADP and GDPR you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability.

Paid plans (Pro, Max) are billed on a subscription basis, or via credit packs, through Stripe. Prices are shown in your local currency (CHF, EUR, USD or GBP) and include applicable Swiss VAT unless stated otherwise. Annual plans are charged for eleven months and give twelve (one month free). Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance that resets each billing period and does not roll over; top-up credits you purchase do not expire.
You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then does not renew. Syntar does not provide pro-rated refunds for unused time, and purchases and credit allocations are non-refundable.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crocus Saffron SA, its directors and employees from any claims, damages or losses arising out of your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or infringement of third-party rights through your Output.

Syntar may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be noted on this page, and continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts at the registered seat of Crocus Saffron SA in Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions that grant you a different forum.
